Meet the The Woodlands Team Behind Vance Gate Repair The Woodlands
Every gate we open up in The Woodlands tells us something about who installed it, who’s been adjusting it since, and what the soil and humidity have done to the hinges and electronics. Our local crew has been reading those clues together since Adrian Vance started this shop in 2014. We’re a small team by design; the person who answers your call is the same person who can pull up your job file from last year and tell you exactly which photo-eye was replaced. Four of us run the trucks you’ll see in The Woodlands, and each of us carries the same habit: document everything, price it in writing, and leave the gate better than we found it.
Our People
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with Vance Gate Repair The Woodlands for eight years, longer than anyone except Adrian. He started on residential slide gates in the Creekside Park area and worked his way into the heavier commercial jobs: access-control wiring, loop detectors, and the kind of industrial operators that run a thousand cycles a week without complaint. Marcus holds a LiftMaster dealer certification and has been through factory training with FAAC and BFT, so when a motor arrives with unfamiliar programming menus, he’s usually the one who gets the call. Outside work he rebuilds old motorcycles, which explains why he’s so particular about torque specs and why he will absolutely tell you if a hinge bolt is half a turn loose.
Daniel R., Senior Installer
Daniel joined us after six years doing ornamental iron and structural welding, and it shows the moment he starts building a new gate frame. He’s our go-to for custom installs, especially when a driveway in The Woodlands has a slope that makes prefabricated kits a bad idea. Daniel is certified in MIG and TIG welding and handles most of our fabrication in-house rather than ordering from a catalog. He’s also the reason we can match new pickets to an existing gate without it looking like a patch job. Daniel keeps a notebook in the truck with measurements from past jobs; ask him about a gate he built three years ago and he’ll flip to the page and tell you the gap he set on the latch side.
Elena S., Service Coordinator
Elena is the voice you’ll hear when you call at six in the morning with a gate that won’t close, and she’s the one who makes sure a technician is on the way before the coffee’s done brewing. She’s been dispatching for service companies in the Houston area for over a decade and knows The Woodlands neighborhoods well enough to route trucks without wasting a minute. Elena handles scheduling, parts ordering, and the photo documentation files that go out with every job, so if you ever need a record from a visit, she can find it in under two minutes. She grew up on a ranch in Grimes County and still finds it funny when a residential gate motor intimidates anyone.
Jordan P., Apprentice Technician
Jordan is the newest member of the crew, two years in and already handling diagnostics on swing-gate openers and photo-eye alignments. He’s working toward the same factory certifications Marcus holds and spends most weeks splitting time between riding along on bigger jobs and taking smaller service calls solo. Before joining us, Jordan worked in low-voltage wiring, which gives him a head start on the control-board side of gate automation. He’s the one who double-checks that every wire nut is taped, every cover screw is back in, and every photo log is labeled before a job is considered done. Jordan’s pickup is older than he is, and he’s meticulous about it in exactly the way you’d want from someone who works on equipment that has to close behind a child on a bike.
One Standard, Every Job

The four of us work under a rule Adrian set on day one: the price is in writing before the tools come out, and the job isn’t finished until the customer has a photo record of what was found, what was adjusted, and what was installed. That’s the Haven Standard, and it applies to a $15 hinge lubrication or a full gate-motor replacement in The Woodlands all the same. Each of us carries the same documentation habits, the same wiring-diagram notes on commercial jobs, and the same 365-Day Done Right Promise. If something isn’t right a year later, we come back and make it right. No argument, no fee, no expiration. That’s not a sales line; it’s how we’ve operated since Adrian Vance started this company in 2014, and it’s why the trucks in The Woodlands all carry the same name.
